Energy efficient measures bring tangible benefits to the residents, the property owner / housing company by reducing energy costs and improving resale value, providing comfort and better indoor air quality as well as improving the functionality of the entire property. In order to achieve goals in energy conservation we need to know use-rate and total energy consumption of the property, energy consumption of the residents, existing resources as well as possible earlier measures etc. Possible corrective action and/or energy efficient investments are evaluated by the energy audit and analysis. We adjust and update existing heating, plumbing, ventilation / air conditioning, refrigeration, separate heating and other systems. The largest energy losses can be attributed to unbalanced systems. Most of the energy is lost through heat loss, loss through the building envelope, loss in water storage and circulation as well as in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Renewable energy such as sources of solar or geothermal energy, their payback period and return on assets must also be considered in renovations. When optimizing the energy performance of buildings it is important to monitor the overall energy consumption, report and upkeep the systems as circumstances change and to have the commitment of the residents for continous improvement and development of energy efficiency.
We plan energy efficient measures to 5-year renovations for housing companies and monitor the rate of return on energy savings and renovations. We estimate the payback period of the suggested measures as well as their return on assets and report their effects on CO2 emissions. In addition we also offer energy advice and trainining for real estate firms for sale/rent situations in order to avoid misunderstandings about the usage of the building and/or it's energy efficiency.
